The Bristles

The bristles are made from 100% renewable raw materials based on castor oil. It is obtained from the seeds of the fast-growing wonder tree. This completely renewable resource does not require large amounts of water and a little bit of farmland.

The bristles are of a medium hardness, not extra soft.

Packaged sustainably

The packaging is made of FSC® certified cardboard and can be easily recycled. It’s plastic-free and does not contain an extra bag inside the box.

In addition, TIO offsets production-related emissions as much as possible by supporting the tree-planting project of Plant-for-the-Planet.

Zero waste dental care

Bamboo Toothbrushes are often mentioned as one of the first zero waste swaps when starting to reduce waste in the bathroom. While they are great for the environment since they are made from fast growing bamboo, not everyone can use them.

Many dental health professionals recommend electric toothbrushes for an extra clean brushing result. With the TIO head for your electric toothbrush you can get that extra clean result and still be eco-friendly.

How to dispose of the replacement head

Currently it’s not possible to compost this material with green garbage since it takes longer to break down than plant left overs. Hopefully in the future industrial composting facilities will be able to compost bioplastics as well.

The TIO replacement brush head can be recycled with regular household plastics.
