o&p shop and pick-up location
Where is the o&p shop?
The shop is in Haarlem at Generaal Cronjéstraat 96.
During the week it is possible to drive with the car right in front of the shop and sometimes there are available parking lots on the other side of the street. The vending machine for the parking tickets is in front of the Thai Massage place which is just across the street from oodles and pinches.
On Saturday and Sunday, the street closes to cars.
You can use the nearby Cronjé Parkeergarage any day.
Can I pick up my order in Haarlem?
Yes, definitely. You can order online and enter ClickCollect in the coupon field on the cart page. This will add a ‘free shipping’ option on the checkout page. When you choose this, you will not pay for shipping.
I will email you when your order is ready to be picked up in the shop on Cronjéstraat 96.
Shipping FAQ
How is my order shipped?
Right now we use post.nl and fietskoerier.
For post.nl shipments, you get a tracking link via email. Sometimes when the transportation volume is high, it may take a bit for the tracking info to get updated. But usually, it takes only one day for post.nl packages to arrive.
If you have trouble locating your package, please send us a message via the ‘Ask here’ button in the lower left corner. So far, not a single package got truly lost, so we’ll find yours too.
Shipping box disposal
The most eco-friendly solution is reusing the box when you want to send something out.
If reusing isn’t an option, please recycle the box. You can leave the paper tape on. If there’s plastic tape from a previous use, removing it before recycling is best to reduce BPA in recycled paper, although this isn’t mandatory.
Packaging FAQ
How do you package food products when I order them?
We pack the bulk food items in unbleached paper bags. They are plastic-free and recyclable with municipal paper and cardboard recycling. They are also compostable at home or via the green bin.
We close the bags with vegan paper tape which is also recyclable and compostable.
For some bulk food items that are a bit oily, we use a thin extra bag. Those are compostable natural paper bags made of certified cellulose are intended for foodstuffs and are neither coated, lacquered nor impregnated. They are greaseproof, heat-resistant up to 200°C, breathable, odorless, and neutral in taste.
How do you package my order for shipping?
We package your order in either reused or new cardboard boxes. We source the reused boxes from deliveries that oodles and pinches receives.
Furthermore, the new boxes are unbleached, plastic-free cardboard. We seal boxes with vegan paper tape, but if a reused box already has (plastic) tape on it, we keep it to conserve resources.
Additionally, we tightly pack each box to minimize transportation space and prevent the products from moving around. If any wiggle room remains, we actively use or reuse paper filling material.
Bulk Food FAQ
Is the bulk food organic?
The bulk food is certified organic, but oodles and pinches as a company has no organic certification. This is due to the high, recurring cost of the organic certification.
Therefore the products in the webshop don’t show up as ‘organic oats’ or ‘organic pasta’. In general, all bulk food in the o&p webshop is certified organic. When, at some point in the future, there may also be bulk food that is not organic, I will clearly label it as ‘conventional’.
The olive oil and magic coffee are not certified organic but of very high quality and produced with an ecologic and fair social mindset.
How does oodles and pinches receive the food products?
We receive most of the bulk food in large, sturdy paper bags of 25kg. Some products like the pasta arrives in 6kg or 10kg cardboard boxes and some products require a large plastic bag, eg the cashew nuts are in a vacuum-sealed plastic bag.
A private household reuses all plastic bags as trash bags.
Is all bulk food grown in the EU or in NL?
No. I try to source as local as possible but many products just don’t grow here (eg nuts, rice, cane sugar…).
How to store the bulk food?
Your bulk food arrives in a paper bag. This is the transportation packaging. Please make sure to store your bulk food in air-tight containers. Those could be Tupperware that you already have or cleaned and dried glass jars from your supermarket shopping. Pasta sauces often come in very handy glass jars with a wide opening. Some glass juice bottles with wide opening are available at many supermarkets.
Returns and Exchanges FAQ
How about free returns?
Big companies often offer free returns, a practice common in fast fashion. This encourages shoppers to order many items in various sizes, try them on at home, and send most back without concern for shipping costs.
Many overlook the fact that returning items costs as much in transportation as sending them out, adding extra expenses for companies. Sadly, much of the returned merchandise cannot be resold and thus contributes to waste. Moreover, companies sometimes offset these costs by paying low wages and upholding poor working conditions.
That’s the reality with large corporations. Here at oodles and pinches, we take a different approach. We’re focusing on conscious shopping for what you truly need.
If you’re unsure about a product or have questions, simply click the ‘Ask here’ button at the bottom left corner. I use many of these products myself and am eager to share tips and answer your questions with enthusiasm!

Not anymore. o&p used to attend the Biomarkt in Kweektuin in Haarlem. Since the new shop has opened, you can find o&p on Generaal Cronjéstraat 96, which is close to the Biomarkt location.
The shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday. Please double check on google maps for the correct opening hours.
I'm organizing a market, will o&p participate?
