Curious to try shopping without packaging but not sure how it works?
It’s easier than you think! Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to refilling a jar (or container or bag) at our shop in Haarlem.
1. Find a jar
You don’t need anything fancy. A clean jam jar, an ice cream tub, or a cloth bag will do. As long as it’s clean and closable, it works!
2. Come to the shop

No appointment needed – just drop by with your jar.
3. Weigh your empty jar
There’s a scale near the entrance. Weigh your empty jar (with the lid) and write the weight on a little paper slip (you’ll find them next to the scale). This way, you only pay for what you fill.

4. Fill your jar
Choose from oats, pasta, lentils, nuts, herbs, granola and hagelslag, and more.
Use a scoop or fill straight from the bins.
Take as much or as little as you like.
5. Pay at the counter
We weigh your filled jar (with the lid) and subtract the empty weight. You pay per gram – that’s it!
6. Extra tips
